Group Exercise Classes

The Rec at The Lakefront™ offers robust fitness programming to appeal to all fitness levels and interests. These classes offer our members an opportunity to make new friends with similar interests and help you create a happier, healthier you. The Group Exercise classes are included with your membership, unless otherwise noted. Our fitness programming for group exercise classes include an energetic and seasoned group of fitness instructors who specialize in a diverse selection of fitness classes including: Yoga, Zumba, Strength Training, Pilates, Cross Training, Cardio and Core, Cycling, Water Aerobics, and Barre. All classes are held in Studio 2, except water aerobics. Water Aerobics is held in the lap lanes at The Cove at The Lakefront®.
Children aged 12-14 years must have active adult supervision to attend. Children under 12 years are not permitted.

Low impact strength and light cardio for aging adults (50 years and over), hosted by the Brenda Button Mills Senior Center.

Stretch, tone, and tighten with isometric movements inspired by ballet.

Functional interval training with bursts of cardio to kick your metabolism into high gear.

Spin bike for a great cardio workout.

Pilates is a type of mind-body exercise.

Old school aerobics with exciting music and muscle-sculpting flair.

Interval-based cardio and strength training.

Combine the muscle-toning and core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of yoga.

Pure strength, no cardio allowed.

Circuit-based cardio and strength exercise to maximize metabolism.

A cardio-based workout that is easier on your joints.

Increase overall body awareness, flexibility, and balance.

Veterans Yoga Project offers this beginner class to Vets and is taught by Vets. This class offers gentle, mindful resilience on and off the mat. Explore the five tools of mindful resilience: breathing, mindful movement, guided rest, and meditation. This class is offered to all vets and their family members too. Caregivers, clinicians, and first-responders are also welcome.
